The Medieval Packaging: The era of hunters and gatherers

The packaging is an ancient industry dating back to around 5000 B.C. when the humans were merely hunters and gatherers. The very first need for packaging was felt for the transportation of left over food form one place to another.  The movement of tribes and own survival forced them to invent some sort of containers to contain and carry the food, water and tools with them and hence the hard shelled fruits were prized as their first containers.
